Luddite video sculpture by James Georgopoulos “Luddite” by James Georgopoulos is based on the English textile workers who protested the takeover of machines in the early 1800’s, during the Industrial Revolution. This work repurposes a robot used in Detroit in automotive manufacturing. The accompanying video was shot of the artists’ wife’s right eye, shot with a RED Dragon 6k, in 8-minute loop segments.
